Pint-sized Paper Sculptors

Our 4K classes have been learning that making art is more than just painting and drawing. We talked about the beautiful Sculpture Garden at DSU's BPAC across the street. (For a virtual tour go to http://thesculpturegardenms.com/)  Then, we had lots of fun making sculptures of our own!

March is right around the corner.....and so is our PDS Grandparents and Grandfriends Day! Part of the Celebration will be our annual Art Exhibit. Thanks to parents Candice F., Ann N., Amy M. Leigh Ann F., Lacy C. and Tracy D. for helping me get the children's artwork ready for the show. Check out a few of their masterpieces! Dates and times for the Exhibit will be posted soon.

2016 is off to a great start in the PDS Computer lab!

Having two weeks off for Christmas holidays was fun,

but these 4K students were ready to get back to work on developing their mouse skills!

 

 

High Five!

Mrs. Bailey's second graders are working on a very special pottery project for our PDS Eagle's Flight Auction!  And we want to give our parent volunteers a great big high five for all their help! Stay tuned for pictures of the finished project.

A Child's Dream Art Contest

Congratulations to PDS sixth grader, Farrar Kathryn for placing in the A Child's Dream art contest sponsored by Cleveland's Junior Auxiliary! Her beautiful artwork is one of several drawings featured in the ballet's program. Not only is Farrar an accomplished artist, but this talented young lady joined a number of other PDS students/dancers in this year's wonderful performance of The Nutcracker. Congratulations Farrar Kathryn, PDS dancers, JA and Carla Parker on a job well done!
