Printmaking Fun

Fourth Grade and Second Grade were all smiling eyes as they explored the printmaking process! 

First, each student drew a design on a piece of Styrofoam. Next, we made crayon rubbings to make sure the lines in their designs were deep enough to make great prints.

Students rolled on printing ink and then used a brayer or roller to rub the back of the styrofoam and transfer the ink to construction paper.

I wish you could've heard the squeals of delight as each student peeled  off the printing plate to reveal beautiful artwork!
