Coming Soon to JACKSON!!!! Van Gogh, Monet', Degas and Their Times

I am thrilled that our very own Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson will be hosting an exhibition of original masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and other french artists! The show will be on view April 4-September 27, 2020. We've been learning about several of these artists in art class. For details and a preview of few of the exhibition pieces go to the museum website at www.msmuseumart.org. As an added bonus, the museum lobby currently also features a collection of McCarty's Pottery!

Let me encourage you and your family to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity only a short drive away!

4K Fun with Mondrian

Piet Mondrian is best known for his abstract paintings made from squares and rectangles. He often used the primary colors plus black and white. Our 4K boys and girls had so much fun making these artworks inspired by Mondrian's art.

Positively Perfect!

The Fourth grade has been learning about Positive and Negative Space, and I think their projects are positively perfect!!!! Great job, kids!
